A man reported missing Thursday afternoon was immediately found near the Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier with the assistance of the Long Beach Police Department’s Air Support Unit, authorities said.
Police were dispatched to find the man, who was reported missing at about 2:02PM, because he “met critical missing person criteria,” said LBPD spokeswoman Marlene Arrona.
Patrol officers, with the help of a police helicopter, were able to find the man near the pier about 33 minutes later, Arrona said.
No other details were provided.
The investigation remains ongoing.
