The robberies took place between May 14 and May 23 in different areas including the Traffic Circle, Belmont Heights and Zaferia.

The Zaferia robbery was captured on a security camera and showed a victim being repeatedly punched in the head before eventually having his headphones and shoes stolen.

The felony charges were filed June 19 against 20-year-old Palmdale resident Dominick Smith and 19-year-old Long Beach resident Cordell Lathom.

They included four counts each of robbery with gang enhancements and two counts counts of carrying a firearm enhancement. Four counts of committing a felony while on bail were also filed against the pair.

Smith and Lathom are each on $315,000 bail. Smith is being held at the Los Angeles County Jail and Lathom is being held at the North County bail.

Detectives arrested Smith on June 17 while Lathom was arrested a day later.

On June 25, detectives arrested Long Beach resident Kahari Charles, 19, in connection with a May 15 robbery. He is being held at Long Beach City Jail on $90,000.
