The public is invited to provide input during a community open house for the Southeast Area Development and Improvement Plan (SEADIP) update, now known as the Southeast Area Specific Plan (SEASP), on Saturday, March 26 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM, according to a city announcement released Thursday.

The open house will take place at the Best Western Golden Sails Hotel Seafarer Room, 6285 East Pacific Coast Highway. The city hosted a previous meeting in November in an effort gather public input for the planning effort that will affect 1,500 acres of southeast Long Beach.

 

This event will focus on the varying facets of the SEASP document, including land use, mobility, and design guidelines and standards, as well as give the community and local stakeholders an opportunity to provide input on the plan and converse one-on-one with the team behind the project.

Following two years of public outreach, analysis and planning, a conceptual draft of the SEASP document has been made available to view here. Once the public process has ended and City Council has taken action, SEASP would replace SEADIP, according to the release.
