At least 66 fire engines from across the continent have arrived in Long Beach for Capt. David Rosa’s funeral, LBFD spokesman Brian Fisk told reporters early this morning.

Fire crews have come from as far away as Vancouver, Vermont and the city of Long Beach in Florida, he said.

Fisk and dozens of other members of the LBFD have been scrambling for a week to arrange the memorial service.

“This is the largest event we’ve ever had to do in such a short amount of time,” he said.
