Councilmember Jeannine Pearce and GRID Greater Los Angeles will come together Saturday, April 21, to host an environmental health fair day, aiming to help families build a sustainable home and bring neighbors together for a day of fun and education at Burbank Elementary.

Community members in Long Beach’s Second District will be able to learn about sustainable practices and how to apply for grants to help update their home.

Food and activities will be provided for the families as well as booths from varying city departments and private environmental advocates.

GRID Alternatives Celebrates Milestone of Renewable Energy Access for Low-Income Families

GRID Alternatives is a non-profit organization that helps implement solar power and energy efficiency for low-income families while providing energy cost savings, valuable hands-on experience, and a source of clean energy.

The organization aims to help single-family homeowners connect to programs and make the switch to solar power.

The event will take place from 11:00AM to 3:00PM.

Burbank Elementary is located on 501 Junipero Avenue.
