Community Hospital Long Beach Honor Long-time Supporters at Annual Condit Spirit Awards

10:44am | More than 300 guests appeared for the annual Condit Spirit Awards, which was held at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach in late October. At the event, Community Hospital Long Beach (CHLB) honored its long-time community supporters that have significantly helped make a positive impact on CHLB.

More than $130,000 was raised for the Community Dreams Fund: Focusing on Today, Planning for Tomorrow, an unrestricted fund, which provides support to the areas of greatest need at CHLB. Donations and volunteers from the community help the hospital to continue providing optimal health care through the latest medical technologies and providing services and programs for the diverse needs of the community.

Award recipients included Dr. and Mrs. Richard Wigod for their generous support, along with the Community Hospital Long Beach Auxiliary for the gracious volunteer services they provide. The awardees have donated millions of dollars and countless hours and effort volunteering to help CHLB connect members of the community to better health.

The Condit Spirit Award was created to honor people in the community who have made a positive impact on CHLB. The award was named after former Long Beach Mayor Fillmore Condit, whose charitable gift in 1924 helped make CHLB a reality. Serving the east side of Long Beach and neighboring communities, CHLB is a major provider of personalized health care with an active emergency department and a focus on adult medicine.
