Long Beach Man Shot, Killed Night Before Thanksgiving


According to the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), an 18-year-old Long Beach man was fatally shot late last Wednesday night.  

LBPD officers responded to the 1500 block of Sherman Place at about 11:30PM regarding a shots fired call. 

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim, identified as 18-year-old Elias Daniel Aguirre, down the street with injuries from gunshot wounds. 

Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) personnel responded and transported Aguirre to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. 

No motive for the shooting has been determined yet, and no suspect is in custody at this time, police said. 

No other information was available, and the investigation is ongoing. We will update this story as we learn more.
