UPDATE | A man suspected of groping a female student at California State University, Long Beach was recently apprehended, campus officials reported on Friday. 

The student stated the man caressed her arm, waist and buttocks after helping her use a photocopying machine inside the University Main Library on Wednesday, August 12, at about 4:30PM, according to a press release. 

On Friday, August 28, campus police announced that the suspect was apprehended but the student chose not to prosecute him. 

Though the case was cleared by exception, the suspect was ordered to stay off campus, according to a police bulletin.

8/14/15 at 11:22AM | California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) police are looking for a man suspected of groping a female student at the campus library on Wednesday afternoon, officials announced Thursday.

On Thursday, the student reported that on Wednesday, August 12, at about 4:30PM, a man helped her use a photocopying machine inside the University Main Library, according to a press release.

The man then asked the student if she wanted his cell phone number, but she declined. He then proceeded to caress her arm, waist and buttocks, officials said.

The suspect was described as light-skinned, 50-60 years old, skinny, and walked with a limp. He wore gold-framed glasses, a white-collared button shirt, black baggie pants and grey shoes.
