Long Beach police are investigating two shootings that happened a mile apart from each other overnight, resulting in one injury, authorities said.

Officers were dispatched near 16th Street and Pine Avenue at 11:54PM on Thursday, October 15, and subsequently located a man with a non-life threatening gunshot injury at a local hospital, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Megan Zabel said.

No suspect description is available at this time, she added.

Police then responded to a shooting call near 10th Street and Daisy Avenue at 4:44AM on Friday, October 16.

According to a preliminary investigation, two men fired in the direction of a moving vehicle with two adult occupants, Zabel said.

No one was injured, but the moving vehicle’s windshield and two parked and unoccupied vehicles sustained damaged, officials said.
