A 19-year-old Long Beach man was among two suspects arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly burglarizing two Beverly Hills pharmacies, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD).

“At this time, it is believed that these suspects are responsible for both burglaries,” Beverly Hills police Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said. “In both cases, it appears that the suspects were targeting scheduled pharmaceuticals.”

The suspects were identified as Long Beach resident Jeffrey Phillips, 19, and Victorville resident Terrel Michael Board, 22.

An officer on routine patrol interrupted a pharmacy burglary on the 400 block of North Roxbury Drive at about 4:00AM, during which he saw the two suspects fleeing on foot into a residential area to the south, Hoshino said.

Authorities set up a containment area and searched for the suspects using police dogs. One suspect was found hiding in a parking structure on Roxbury Drive, south of Wilshire Boulevard, he said. The suspect immediately surrendered to police.

At about 7:00AM, the second suspect was located at a construction site on the 100 block of South McCarthy Drive. Detectives later learned of a second pharmacy burglary on the 9700 block of Wilshire Boulevard, Hoshino said.
