A Long Beach woman is being held on $2 million bail for the stabbing murder of her boyfriend.

On Tuesday at about 6:16PM, Long Beach Police (LBPD) were dispatched to a local hospital to contact a possible shooting victim. The arriving officers learned 21-year-old Aaron Flores had been stabbed and taken to the hospital by his girlfriend.

Flores succumbed to the injuries “a short time later,” according to the release issued Wednesday.

Homicide detectives determined Flores’ girlfriend was responsible for his death following a domestic dispute at their residence in the 1800 block of East Hardwick Street, according to the LBPD.

Detectives arrested 32-year-old Yvonne Marie Pina of Long Beach, who is now being held at Long Beach City Jail.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration on Friday.

The investigation remains ongoing.
