A man was stabbed and another man was arrested following a domestic dispute inside a home in Central Long Beach on Sunday, authorities said.

The victim was stabbed in his torso by the attacker, and paramedics took him to a local hospital, said Long Beach police spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy. His injuries were not life-threatening, she said.

The suspect was taken into custody and was in the process of being booked into jail, Dandoy said Sunday afternoon.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the two men “were involved in a domestic dispute inside a residence which resulted in the stabbing,” Dandoy said.

The incident was reported as an assault with a weapon at 11:20 a.m. in the 1900 block of Atlantic Avenue.

The investigation remains ongoing, and further details weren’t immediately available.
