Man Sentenced to 53 Years in Prison for the 2013 Rapes of Three Women in Long Beach

A 33-year-old man was sentenced to 53 years in prison today for raping three women in Long Beach in 2013, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Announced.

According to a release issued today, David Paul Stephan raped the three women in 2013.

On January 30, 2013, Stephan raped a 59-year-old woman in a Long Beach board and care facility. Shortly after, on May 4, he sexually assaulted a 57-year-old woman in another board and care facility. On September 13, 2013, Stephan picked up a 68-year-old wheelchair-bound woman on Long Beach Boulevard, took her to a walkway and raped her.

He was arrested on November 13, 2013. The case was investigated by the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD).

Stephan pleaded no contest to three counts of forcible rape today and was immediately sentenced by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gary Ferrari.
