A man was shot multiple times in North Long Beach Sunday night, the only reported injury in a trio of shootings in the city over the weekend, according to authorities. 

Saturday, January 9

Officers were dispatched to a shots heard call near Drake Park on West 17th Street and Chestnut Avenue at about 9:55PM, for what turned out to be a non-injury shooting. 

Police found evidence of a shooting but could not locate damaged property and there were no reports of injuries, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Marlene Arrona .

Sunday, January 10

A damaged vehicle was located when officers were dispatched at 8:35PM to a shots heard call on West 10th Street and Maine Avenue in the city’s Washington neighborhood, according to Arrona.

No one was reported injured, she said.

Later, officers dispatched at 10:52PM to a shooting call on the 3000 block of East Artesia Boulevard found a man with multiple gunshot injuries, according to Arrona.

Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) paramedics transported the victim in stable condition to a local hospital.

It is unknown whether any of the shootings were gang-related but the incidents remain under investigation.
