Long Beach police responding to a call about a fight, found a man who had been stabbed in the upper torso early Saturday at 2 a.m.

Officers found the man near the intersection of Tribune Court and Pacific Coast Highway in the Washington neighborhood.

“The suspect had already fled the scene and the victim was not cooperating with officers,” police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening wounds and there is still no suspect description available.
