A man and his four-year-old son were shot at in front of their home Sunday night in the Poly High neighborhood of Long Beach, authorities said.

The man and his son were in front of their home on the 1100 block of East 21st Street when a vehicle was driven up to the residence and an occupant exited and fired at the adult victim before getting back in the vehicle, officials said.

Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers were dispatched at about 9:30PM on Sunday, June 28, where they discovered the victims with non-life threatening gunshot wounds, officials said.

They were both transported to a local hospital for treatment and are in stable condition.

There is no suspect information at this time.

The incident is being investigated as gang-related, according to police.
