Seal Beach police asked yesterday for the public’s help in retracing the steps of a man whose body was found in a flood control channel last week.

Police are seeking more information about 28-year-old Brandon Atchley, whose last known address was in Yorba Linda, said Seal Beach police Sgt. Mike Henderson.

A construction worker came upon Atchley’s body about 1:40 p.m. Thursday, March, 14, in a flood control channel near Bolsa Chica Street and Edinger Avenue, Henderson said.

Police want to talk to anyone who spoke with Atchley between Feb. 11 and last Thursday, he said.

Atchley was known to frequent Garden Grove and Anaheim, Henderson said. He was about 6-foot-2, weighed 213 pounds and had brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

It’s unclear so far how Atchley died.

Police asked anyone with details to contact Det. Jeff Gibson at 562-799 – 4100, ext. 1109.
