Two men escaped gunfire by an unknown assailant during a gang shooting in Long Beach’s Lincoln District Wednesday night, according to authorities.

Officers responded to a shots fired call on the 1000 block of Lewis Avenue at 7:40PM on Wednesday, December 9, during which they learned two adult men were shot at by an unknown male subject who fled, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Nancy Pratt.

Neither of the men were struck by gunfire, she said.

Authorities are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.
