Two men were critically injured during a possible gang-related shooting Tuesday night when they were in front of a residence in Long Beach’s West Side neighborhood, authorities said.

Long Beach police were dispatched to the shooting call at about 8:30PM on Tuesday, September 29, on the 2600 block of Delta Avenue.

Arriving officers learned a group of men were in front of a home when an unknown man fired multiple shots at the group, according Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Nancy Pratt.

Two men—described as grandfathers and lifelong friends—were struck and transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Authorities are investigating the incident as possibly gang-related.
