Two wounded men walked into a nearby hospital after a fight in North Long Beach ended in gunfire Wednesday evening, according to police.

Authorities got a call about the violence near the corner of 69th Street and Long Beach Boulevard around 7:15 p.m., Long Beach police spokesman Sgt. Brad Johnson said.

Officers couldn’t find anyone who’d been shot when they got to the scene, but they did find evidence of a shooting, Johnson said.

While officers were at the scene, two men showed up at a hospital in Lynwood with gunshot wounds to their legs, according to police. Their injuries weren’t life-threatening, Johnson said.

Detectives are still investigating and think the shooting may be gang-related, according to police.
