A vehicle was struck during a shooting in Long Beach’s West Side early Friday morning, authorities said.

Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 2200 block of Santa Fe Avenue at 3:50AM on Friday, Aug. 26, according to Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokesman Brad Johnson.

Arriving officers found the vehicle with damage. No injuries were reported.

The suspect fled the scene on foot, Johnson added. It is unknown if the incident is gang-related.

The investigation remains ongoing.
