Long Beach police are investigating a reported assault that happened Wednesday night, during which a woman claimed she was intentionally hit by a vehicle driven by her ex-boyfriend, authorities said.

Officers responded to the incident at 10:07PM on Wednesday, August 26, on the 200 block of Orchid Lane.

The woman said her ex-boyfriend hit her on purpose following an argument, said Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Megan Zabel.

The woman was not injured and did not require medical assistance, officials said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

No arrest has been made at this time.
