Cal State Long Beach police are investigating an armed robbery of a student on campus, in the parking structure next to the Walter Pyramid, officials said.

Capt. John Brockie said that at about 4:20 p.m., a student was getting out of his vehicle on the third floor of the parking structure when two men—one with a gun at his side—approached him and told him to give them his backpack.

The student handed over his backpack and they fled the scene in a black sedan. No one was injured during the incident.

Brockie said one suspect is described as thinly built, wearing a white t-shirt and black vest with possible tattoos on his arm. The other is described as larger in size and wearing a hoodie. Both are described as black and appear to be in their mid-20’s.

Police do not believe this incident is connected to an armed carjacking in the same parking structure in mid-November.
