Cal State Long Beach’s (CSULB) University Student Union Program Council and Department of Journalism and Mass Communications are hosting a free panel discussion this week on net neutrality to help the public and students understand their rights as an Internet user, Associated Students, Inc. announced today.

The panel, scheduled for Wednesday evening, will educate students and the public on the recent Federal Communications Commission ruling on net neutrality, and how it preserves the right to freely exchange information online.

“Most people use the Internet multiple times a day and it affects so many people globally,” said Taylor Buhler-Scott, activities coordinator at CSULB. “This is a great opportunity for students to understand and learn about something they use daily.”

The free event, which is open to the public, will take place Wednesday at 5:30PM in the University Student Ballrooms on the CSULB campus.
