Long Beach Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell made an official announcement today on the assembly floor declaring May 9 the Day of the Teacher.
House Resolution 105 takes place the same week as Teacher Appreciation Week and follows O’Donnell’s 4th annual Teacher Recognition ceremony last Thursday where he recognized 15 teachers from the 70th Assembly District who go above and beyond for their students and presented each of them with an Extraordinary Teacher Award, according to his office.
