9:00pm | According to a release from the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD), yesterday at approximately 8:20pm, LBPD responded to a shooting that occurred at a local motel located in the 1000 block of East 7th Street, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

Police responded to the scene and discovered that a 38-year-old male subject from Long Beach had been shot in the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased shortly after arriving.

The preliminary investigation indicates that several subjects were inside a motel room when some type of confrontation took place between the group, which resulted in the male subject being shot.
