Long Beach’s own Miller Children’s Hospital will be one of 53 hospitals across the country to participate in Walk Across America on October 18, at the CSULB campus track.  Money raised at the three-mile walk event will go directly towards children’s hospitals in the Together For Kids network, of which Miller Children’s Hospital is a member.  The funds will go towards childhood obesity and injury prevention programs.

“This is an opportunity for Miller Children’s Hospital and our community to step forward and raise funds to help us fulfill our mission of providing care to all children who come through our doors,” says Terry A. Belmont, CEO Miller Children’s Hospital and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.

“We are delighted to take part in this nationwide effort to draw attention to the healthcare challenges children face and to improve the health of kids, not just in Long Beach, but all over America.”
