Long Beach police say a Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) substitute teacher, removed from a classroom last Tuesday, is under investigation for misconduct. Though an arrest has not been made, a search warrant has been served and the investigation is ongoing.

Remaining relatively quiet about the situation, the LBPD and LAUSD released the following statement:

“The Long Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles Unified School District are conducting a joint investigation of allegations of misconduct made against a substitute teacher that worked for the LAUSD. These allegations were brought to our attention on April 17 and the teacher was immediately relieved of his duties pending the results of the investigation. The parents of the involved school were notified by school officials immediately following his removal.”
