A fire in the Los Altos neighborhood of Long Beach left a detached garage damaged this afternoon, but no one was injured, authorities said. 

Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD) spokesman Jake Heflin said firefighters were dispatched at 4:53PM to the 2000 block of Lave Avenue. Three engines, one truck and paramedic vehicle responded to the scene of the fire, which was put out shortly after.

The LBFD were still on scene with the Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) at about 5:20PM, he said.

The cause of the fire is unknown. The investigation remains ongoing. 

No additional information was available at this time. The Post will update this report as the situation develops.
