Two men were injured following two separate gang-related shootings in Long Beach this weekend, authorities said.

The first shooting happened on Friday, August 28, on the 1000 block of Virginia Court.

Officers responded to the scene at 10:37PM, where they located a man on the street with gunshot wounds to the upper and lower torso, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) spokeswoman Megan Zabel said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, according to Zabel.

The second shooting happened on Sunday, August 30, on the 300 block of East Eagle Street.

Police responded to the area at 9:10PM and found a man on the street who was struck by gunfire.

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition as well.

Both shootings are being investigated as possibly gang-related.
