A Long Beach police officer in his patrol car and two other vehicles were involved in a traffic collision late Sunday, police said Monday.

An East Division patrol officer advised via radio that he was involved in a three-way collision in the area of Clark Avenue and Stearns Street at about 11:20PM, said Long Beach Police Department spokesperson Megan Zabel.

The officer is being treated for minor injuries, and there are no reports of injuries from the other parties.

A traffic collision report was filed, and the scene was cleared, Zabel said.

No further information, including the cause of the accident, was available. We will update this story as we learn more.
