Long Beach Republican Women Federated (LBRWF) will be hosting a free-for-all event this Thursday, September 21 at 5:30PM celebrating the grand opening of its first official headquarters.

Along with celebratory wine and appetizers, guests can expect an appearance from state Sen. Janet Nguyen, Councilwoman Stacy Mungo, City Auditor Laura Doud and Long Beach City College Trustees Virginia Baxter and Jeff Kellogg.

LBRWF members and volunteers will finally have a central meeting location as they work to elect Republicans running for office in Long Beach after spending many years hosting their events at various locations, officials stated.

“People do not realize that there are many Republicans in Long Beach,” LBRWF member Susan Blair told the Post. “We are just outnumbered!”

Prior to the new headquarters, the club—which has been in Long Beach for 64 years— met every second Saturday of the month at the Long Beach Marriott.

According to the NFRW official website, the Long Beach club holds 193 members and last year worked a total of 15,650 hours.

The Long Beach RWF is the most active RWF club in Los Angeles County, according to club officials. It was awarded the Diamond Achievement Award in 2015, the highest category in the club achievements. The club notably contributes to the Long Beach Fisher House, Long Beach Community Hospital, Cal State Long Beach, Long Beach Public Libraries, Long Beach City College, Female Veterans at Cabrillo and the U.S. VETS.
