UPDATE: | A 66-year-old man who went missing in Long Beach last week has been found safe, Long Beach police said Monday.

The news comes a week after Edward Renard Ringer disappeared when he walked away on Nov. 12, police said. Two days after he disappeared, LAPD officers found him and took him to a local hospital for treatment, according to authorities, but it wasn’t until Monday that the hospital contacted Long Beach police to tell them Ringer was safe, according to the LBPD.

The police department had asked for help finding Ringer because he has a medical condition and can become disoriented.

Police said he is now in good condition.
