Long Beach vice detectives on Thursday arrested two people in connection with an illegal gambling business on the edge of North Alamitos Beach.

Detectives served a search warrant at the business near Seventh Street and Cerritos Avenue just before 11:30 p.m., spokeswoman Shaunna Dandoy said. They seized four illegal gambling machines and cash inside the business.

Police arrested Signal Hill resident Anthony Noun, 55, on suspicion of keeping gambling premises, failure to pay employees and for exceeding the scope of his business license, Dandoy said. They also arrested Roseanne Yonn, a 45-year-old resident of Long Beach on suspicion of accepting wagers. Both suspects are being held on a $20,000 bail.

Police also detained a man and woman and cited them for gambling.

They ask anyone with information about illegal gambling activity to contact LBPD vice detectives at 562-570-7219.
