The Long Beach Playhouse and local improv artist group Held2Gether have teamed up to present the second annual A Miracle on Anaheim Street event Saturday, December 3 to benefit the WomenShelter of Long Beach (WSLB).

The one-night event will be held at Long Beach Playhouse, located at 5021 East Anaheim Street, and will offer a musical evening of improv and sketch comedy starting at 8:00PM.

“Last year’s event was such a tremendous success and the perfect way to ring in the winter holidays,” said WomenShelter of Long Beach Executive Director Mary Ellen Mitchell in a statement. “

Everyone who attended the event was laughing, cheering, and enjoying themselves. WSLB is so thankful and cannot thank enough both the Long Beach Playhouse and Held2Gether for their continued support.”

Playhouse Executive Director Andrew Vonderschmitt said they are so proud to give back to the community.

All proceeds will go directly to WomenShelter of Long Beach to support their victim services, youth programs and educational efforts. Each year WomenShelter provides services to about 5,000 people through its Domestic Violence Resource Center and confidential Emergency Shelter.

“I love to bring laughter and happiness into people’s lives,” said Founder of Held2Gether Darren Held in a statement. “This special holiday show will help one of the many worthy causes within Long Beach. I feel so honored to support WomenShelter and their families.”

Tickets are available at the playhouse website  or by calling (562) 494.1014, option 1.
