Mayor Foster was on hand today as NRG West President Steve Hoffman donated a $12,000 check to Patricia Dixon of Pools of Hope, a nonprofit warm-water therapy facility near the connection of the 91 and 710 freeways.

“For over 50 years, California Pools of Hope has provided warm-water rehabilitation and aquatic exercise to those in need,” said Mayor Bob Foster. “I’d like to thank NRG for supporting this outstanding nonprofit.”

California Pools of Hope is the only therapy facility of its kind in Long Beach, and is open to all – regardless of ability to pay or insurance status, offering water exercise and activities in two enclosed pools to the disabled, underserved and underinsured.

“NRG West and our local employees are proud to assist California Pools of Hope with their promotion of wellness and their mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with special needs,” said Steve Hoffmann, President of NRG West.  “We credit Mayor Bob Foster for bringing this wonderful organization to our attention and as members of the City of Long Beach business community we look forward to being a partner with this tremendous endeavor for years to come.”
