The Long Beach City Council Tuesday night voted 7-2 to accept an augmented version of Councilman James Johnson’s proposed redistricting plan that keeps Bixby Knolls and its prosperous business corridor in the Eighth District but moves an already declared Eighth District candidate out of the district.
