homicide previously reported by the Post<\/a>\u00a0brings the total number of reported shootings to five.\u00a0Police do not know at this time if any of the shootings are linked.<\/p>\nPolice were called to the scene of the first shooting at 11:24 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23 on North Oro Court at 6th Street in the city\u2019s Willmore neighborhood.\u00a0Arriving officers didn\u2019t find a victim or evidence but a short time later a victim called to report he had been shot at but not struck by gunfire, said Long Beach police spokeswoman Detective Jennifer Arzola.<\/p>\n
Authorities do not have suspect information or a motive for the shooting at this time.<\/p>\n
Later, at 2:16 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24, police were dispatched to a local hospital regarding a man being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower torso, Arzola said. The man was sitting on his front porch when he heard the shots, according to Arzola. He \u201cself-transported\u201d to the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.<\/p>\n
He was uncooperative with police and did not provide a description of the suspect or suspects.<\/p>\n
Shortly after at 2:55 a.m., police were once again called to a local hospital where a man was being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his upper torso, Arzola said<\/p>\n
The victim also \u201cself-transported\u201d to the local hospital and \u201cwas uncooperative during the investigation and could not provide a description for the suspect or suspects,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The last reported shooting happened at 3:14 a.m. on Cherry Avenue at 8th Street.<\/p>\n
\u201cA witness stated she observed a dispute between several subjects in vehicles,\u201d Arzola said.<\/p>\n
An altercation between two groups in their vehicles led to an unidentified suspect shooting at another unidentified victim and missing, Arzola said. No one was injured.<\/p>\n
