On Friday, September 25th, 2020, Favian Esquivias, 18, passed away in a tragic car accident that evening. Favian was born on April 5, 2002, in Long Beach, California to parents Patricia and Tino Esquivias.
He attended Lakewood High School and got his first job as an aspiring technician at Parkhouse Tires; where he would jokingly brag about making more money than his older sister Yessenia Esquivias, 28. He was joyful, humorous, witty, fearless, clever, and very blunt. He was never afraid to speak his mind. But through that, he showed his kindness, compassion, helpfulness, and generosity by lending a helpful hand whenever it was needed. Especially when you needed an item from a cabinet at the very top shelf(He was a giant at 6’4).
His favorite hobbies were fishing, camping, going out to paintball, and socializing with others. But most of all, he loved cars. Especially his Blue 2002 Subaru WRX that was gifted to him by his parents and his late father Gerald “Jerry” Gonzales, which meant that much more after Jerry’s passing the year before. He had many plans to save up and work on that car he loved. His ambition and determination to succeed, and to become the person he dreamt of becoming was only beginning to come into fruition.
He is survived by his son Anthony, the mother of his child Kimberly, his parents Patricia and Tino, his sister Yessenia, his niece Camila, and many of his cousins, uncles, aunts and grand-parents. He was predeceased by his father Gerald “Jerry” Gonzales.
