For the third time in their four game schedule at the Harvard Invitational, the 49ers swept their opponents in three sets; this time it was against the host.  They hit a season-high .444, and dominated in all phases of the game.  Iris Murray’s 10 digs led the way, but Vargas added 8, Caitlin Ledoux 7, and Quincy Verdin and Ashley Lee each had six digs for the Beach.

Harvard led only once, in the second set by a score of 3-2.  The went on to lose the set 25-11.  The combined score of all three sets was 75-36, and it took the Beach less than an hour to finish playing the part of rude guest.  The win gives them the Invitational Title, which they will bring home on what is sure to be a grateful plane trip.  The 49ers have been on the road for three weeks, after a four game stint in Florida and the four in Massachusetts.  They’ll return home to play in the ‘Myd against Santa Clara.
