For anyone 14 or older and interested in volleyball, the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Grand Slam/ASICS World Series is inviting the public to volunteer during the tournament to not only work on the courts but also have the chance to watch what is to be the largest volleyball event in the nation.

The competition, which offers over a half-million dollars in prizes, is one of the most prestigious sporting events in the world, with tens of thousands of people expected to converge along the beaches of Long Beach. Exclusive coverage will be provided by NBC, NBC Sports and Universal Sports Network.

Days and hours are flexible to fit into volunteers’ schedule, though a minimum of four hours per shift is required. Those staying for most of the day will receive t-shirts and lunch. More information call Sean Bafan at (310) 906-3805 or email [email protected]

Coverage begins Thursday, July 25 at 5PM on NBC Sports Network with women’s Grand Slam quarterfinal competitions, and will continue through the weekend. The World Series Cup Women’s Finals will air Saturday, July 27 at 1PM on NBC, with the Men’s Finals airing Sunday, July 28 at 1:30PM on NBC.
