Long Beach State tennis continues the fall season with the second of three tournaments the team will play in this fall, traveling across town to the Fullerton Invitational for three days of action.

#121 Anais Dallara will make her first singles appearance of the season after just playing doubles at the Cal Invitational, playing in the Flight A singles opening against CS Fullerton’s Tiffany Mai. Also playing in Flight A are freshman Jaklin Alawi who faces UC Riverside’s Taylor Raney in the first round, and junior Deborah Armstrong, who has a first round bye in singles.

Last week’s Cal Invitational Flight C winner, Julie Luzar, will play in Flight B at Fullerton, taking on CS Bakersfield’s Veronica Dimas in the first round, while Anna Jeczmionka rounds out the singles participants for the Beach, taking a bye into the second round where she will face UC Irvine’s Miranda Young.

The 49ers will bring a full contingent to play in doubles at Cal State Fullerton, as Rachel Manasse has been cleared for action this weekend. Manasse compiled an 18-1 record with Dallara last season in doubles, but will instead team with Alawi playing Mai/Wiesener of CS Fullerton in the first round of Flight A doubles.

Armstrong and Dallara will also participate in that Flight, one week following their finals appearance at the Cal Invitational. The veteran duo will face Heckel/Pironkova of LMU in the first round.

Another returning pair from last week’s action rounds out the 49ers in the draw, as Jeczmionka and Luzar play Corpuz/Plata in the first round of Flight B doubles.
