In front of a crowd of more than 50,000, it was another good day to be a Trackrabbit as the locals closed their relays with some positive results. <\/span><\/p>\n

<\/o:p><\/p>\n

In the boys’ 4X100 finals, the team of Alex Cannon, Kameron Jackson, Kameron White, and Kaelin Clay finished sixth (second best in America) with a 41.18, a .21 improvement over their heat time.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The boys’ 4X400 finished third in their heat but missed the finals by, seriously, 0.15 seconds, as their 3:15.68 was bested by Rio Mesa’s 3:15.53.  <\/span>Here are the splits: Kameron White (50.5), Kaelin Clay (47.5), Chris Hall (50.2), Shaquille Howard (47.5).<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The triumph of the day, though, was the boys’ 4X800 team, who finished with the world’s fourth-best time, and third-best in America.  <\/span>They finished in 7:44.40, in an incredibly tight 3200 meter race, with the first place finisher less than three seconds away at 7:41.77.  <\/span>The splits: Myles Andrews (1:55.9), Aaron Harris (1:55.8), Christian Penn (1:56.3, a PR), Chris Hall (1:56.4).<\/o:p><\/p>\n
