The Poly girls’ basketball team played one of their best games of the year on Thursday, against an overwhelmed Stockdale team. <\/span>If they can keep from having a letdown tonight at 7pm against Summit, they’ll be punching their ticket for yet another SoCal Regional final\u2014they are right now just three wins away from an historic fifth straight state championship.<\/p>\n The SkyHawks are a good team, but like most quality prep girls’ teams, they feature two good scorers, and then a supporting cast. <\/span>The players to watch for Summit are Adrianne Thomas (#14), the 5-9 senior guard who leads the team with 18 points per game, as well as 6 boards and 3 steals. <\/span>Her backup is post player Ana Brodie (#3), a 5-11 sophomore who also leads the team in rebounds, while putting up 11 a game. <\/span>The SkyHawks have a little height, but not enough to match Poly’s depth in the paint.
