The St. Anthony Saints definitely had some first-round jitters going when they stepped onto the court against Bishop Diego in the first round of the CIF playoffs Wednesday night. <\/span>The Saints were the bracket’s five-seed, and heavily favored to win, but they only led by three points at the half. <\/span>“I think our guys were a little nervous,” said Saints coach Chris Morrison afterwards. <\/span>“After that we settled down and started playing.”<\/p>\n The bulk of that play happened on the defensive end of the court, as the Saints held Bishop Diego to just seven third-quarter points, while putting up 19 themselves. <\/span>They expanded the lead to 20+ before pulling their starters, eventually going on to win 65-51.
