Friday marks the final home game of the 2009-2010 49er Ice Hockey season. The team will bid farewell to another group of graduating seniors including an outgoing captain Mr. Joe Nalley.<\/p>\n
For Fan Appreciation Night, every fan that comes through the door will get one drawing ticket for a chance to win great prizes from the Beach Club, Tommy\u2019s, the LA Kings, and more. The Chris Northy Memorial Spirit Award will be presented to the 49er that has best demonstrated positive energy and enthusiasm on and off the ice. As if all this was not fun enough, your 49ers (13-14-2) will fight Loyola Marymount (11-13-1) and the season series is tied 1-1. Six different 49ers found the back of the net on Saturday night as Long Beach held on for an 8-5 win against the CSU Fullerton Titans. Fullerton tied the game with a questionable goal to end the second period. Time had appeared to have expired but the goal was allowed. Long Beach would not be denied though as Sean Hoang’s rebound goal 5:12 into the period stood as the game winning goal. Robbie Zdjelar, Tanner Woodbury, and James Robelotto also scored for the Beach.
