Report by LBCC’s Chris Ruiz<\/span><\/p>\n 10:00 | <\/strong>The Long Beach City College women’s basketball team fell to Cerritos College by a final score of 74-40 in a South Coast Conference South Division game at the Hall of Champions Gym on Wednesday night. The loss dropped LBCC to 3-16 overall and 0-2 in the SCC South while Cerritos improved to 15-10 and 2-1 in division play. Freshman forward Rayven Sellers scored a game-high 15 points and led all with 17 rebounds in the loss for the Vikings. Freshman forward Lynnsie Nallus also posted a double-double for Long Beach as she totaled 11 points and 11 rebounds. Cerritos stormed out to a 13-0 lead as the Vikings missed their first 13 shots from the field. The Falcons were up 29-1 before freshman Denisse Hernandez’ jumper at the 9:16 mark in the first half broke the Vikings’ cold streak. Cerritos led 49-11 at halftime. The Falcons had five players in double-figures. Rose Boatner led Cerritos with 15 points and 15 rebounds and Adria Jackson poured in 14 points and grabbed 11 boards.
