BBall: Poly Bests Jordan In Foul Fest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!--StartFragment-->  <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">It certainly wasn&#8217;t pretty on either end of the court, but after 32 minutes and 53 whistled fouls, Poly ended up with a 56-36 win over Jordan, in which they held the Panthers&#8217; top two scorers without a field goal, and allowed just seven field goals overall.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Rabbits got out to a fast start, going up 11-1, and taking a 26-10 lead into halftime, having allowed just one field goal to that point.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>&#8220;I think after we got that lead, we got a little complacent,&#8221; said Poly coach Carl Buggs.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>In a sloppy third quarter that saw 16 fouls called, Jordan put another nine points on the board, as Poly pushed their lead to 42-19. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The Rabbits&#8217; biggest advantage was inside, where they got a lot of points, and also shut down Jordan.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>&#8220;They were bigger inside, and they took it to us there,&#8221; said Jordan coach Adara Newidouski, who had three of her bigs foul out of the game.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>&#8220;A lot of the errors were unforced, and our fault\u2014we were 19-34 from the free throw line.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Poly got big contributions from a deep bench, always a goal of Buggs&#8217; in league contests.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Destiny King helped pound the ball inside, leading her team with 9 points, while Taijhe Kelly came off the bench to score eight straight in the third.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Sheila Boykin had five points and five boards, and Ashley Wilson had six boards.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">&nbsp; <\/span>Leaders for Jordan were India Burke, the fearless point guard, who had 12 points, and Ashlee Carswell had nine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Poly visits Cabrillo, while Jordan will travel to Wilson next on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;
