Report by LBCC’s Chris Ruiz<\/span><\/p>\n The Long Beach City College women\u2019s basketball team suffered a 56-44 South Coast Conference interdivision loss to visiting East Los Angeles College on Tuesday night at the Hall of Champions Gym.<\/p>\n The loss dropped Long Beach to 3-11 overall while East L.A. evened its record at 8-8.<\/p>\n Poor shooting doomed the Vikings. Long Beach shot just 30 percent from the field for the game (17 of 57) and made just 5 of 17 field goal attempts. East L.A. was also able to turn 24 LBCC turnovers into 18 points.<\/p>\n Long Beach trailed 32-25 at halftime and got as close at 47-42 with 2:52 left in the game.
