In a striking departure from the usual end-of-season banquet format, the women’s volleyball team will hold an open, free banquet on Monday, December 14th, as they celebrate a 23rd consecutive NCAA postseason appearance and back-to-back Big West Championships.  <\/span>Usually these serve as fundraisers for a program, or are a bit more exclusive, and we think it’s great to see some experimentation in the festivities, as teams try and connect more with their fan bases.<\/p>\n

The evening will begin with a program at the Walter Pyramid, honoring the team with the 2009 season slideshow and senior speeches from 2008 first-team All-Big West selections Naomi Washington and Brittney Herzog. That ceremony is free and open to everyone.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Then, following the ceremony at the Walter Pyramid, fans can join the team for a no-host dinner at Spaghettini Italian Grill and Jazz Club in Seal Beach.
